The Big Good News/Bad News
We’re one month into my devoting more time to Substack — making these posts part of my everyday writing — and I’ve gotten a little bit of a wrench thrown into the works.
So, the good news: I’m now doing contract work for The Daily Wire to help with scriptwriting for original content for them. I’ll be working with Ethan Nicolle and Eric Branscum (who used to do all the video and animation for The Babylon Bee) on scripts for animation and live content for The Daily Wire. So that’s cool!
But the bad news is that it will take up some of my daily writing time I meant to devote to this Substack and my novels. So I’m going to have to learn how to balance that. I originally was planning to start a paid tier of my Substack before I left the Bee, but I was only going to aim for one post a week. I think I will still aim for at least two Substack posts even with the Daily Wire work, though, as I’m really enjoying this space to experiment and have fun writing.
As for what I’m working on at The Daily Wire, I can’t say as I signed a bunch of NDAs. I’m not even sure I’m supposed to say I’m working for them. If anyone asks, you don’t know what I do.
Superego 3 and Hellbender 2
I know I keep saying the third Superego is coming soon, but it’s coming soon. I’m very hopeful it will be out in February. And this will be the most significant book release of your lifetime. Until the fourth one comes out.
And I also hope to have the 2nd draft of Hellbender 2 done in February and will be looking for beta readers. Also, all paid subscribers to this Substack will get access to it then.
A Month of Content
So, I’ve been doing my increased Substack writing for a month now. It’s been a lot of… stuff. What do you think? I’d love any feedback, so email me or comment on this post.
And thanks again to all the paid subscribers. I really like having this space to try out my crazy ideas. And so far Substack seems like a great platform; they’ve already stood up to multiple cancel mobs which is rare these days. So make sure to support Substack… and the best way to do that is to become a paid subscriber of my Substack (as Substack gets a little cut of that).
Anyway, I have a really fun post I’ll be putting up later this week, and since it’s literary, I’ll unlock it for everyone.
Later, dudes. And thanks again for your support.
I’m glad to see this new career trajectory for you, Frank. We are that much closer to a monocle for Winchester.
Congrats on new work...we all do what we can to support our families! Keep up the good work :)
