Let's Never Stop Talking About How Dumb the "Defund the Police" Movement Was

The dumbest political movement of my lifetime

There are just certain things I will never tire of ragging on. One is all the ways The Last Jedi completely fumbled the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The other is the “defund the police” movement, a staggering Mount Everest of stupidity where it’s hard even to know where to begin. But I’m now going to attempt to tackle all the stupidity in one sitting.

What brought this up again is that Biden, in the State of the Union speech, loudly declared that he was going to increase funding for police, basically telling the rest of the Democratic Party that they were done with this nonsense. But I’m not ready to move on that easily. Anyone who acted like “defund the police” was anything other than abject stupidity needs to be exposed and chased away from polite society, never to be involved with politics ever again. It’s such a dumb idea that no one who was involved with it for even a second can be trusted on anything ever again.

And though it feels almost patronizing to explain why something so stupid is stupid, let’s go over the individual reasons right now.
