Thanks for the update, sir! Some of your ordeal reminds me of the single panel comic strip (can’t recall if it was Farside, Bizarro, or something else) where the doctor says something like, “well we don’t know what it is but at least it’ll be named after you”

Glad to hear you will have more time with your family on this side of eternity. I will continue keeping you all in my prayers!

What a harrowing journey, Frank. Your name just went up on my prayer list. I will be praying for God's favor and clarity for you, and for peace as you wait for results. We know He hears, He cares and He reigns. May God heal you fully, in all the ways that matter.

After more than 20 years I feel like I know you, although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you. One thing I am sure of: this world needs you and your humor. Stay with us.

you may want to insert a "not" before "bring up" in first sentence, sir. so glad you've pulled through!

as for me, day 24 of second bout of covid. at this point it's just annoying persistent congestion and cough though, none of the really icky stuff from the first week. i'm old and sickly anyway, so it's no surprise that it's taking me a while to recover.

My gosh, Frank. I’m so sorry. What an ordeal. And Sarah, this is so hard on the spouse. I hope she’s okay. I have to say, I have a picture of the surgeons taking so long with the surgery because they basically had carte blanch to go on a scenic drive of your guts. “Hey, let’s look over there!” They are disturbingly gleeful about carving people up.

I guess this explains the lack of Winchester pictures. So. Grand Canyon this summer?

And here I've been in a bad mood because I have a cold. Don't I feel dumb.

Anyways, you always have been a unique case Frank, I can't see why you're surprised that carried over into the medical field. So glad you're recovering, and I'll keep you on my prayer list!

Sorry to hear all the hassle and unknowns you've had to go through. My husband had the bowel resection, which wasn't ideal but not as bad as we expected. Glad you didn't have to shorten up your colon. Keep us posted on how to pray for you!

We're more and more into an era where medically we can find new things that we don't understand. Sorry it had to be you. But maybe some new useful information will come from it. Meanwhile, it's good that you are doing well. "Live long and prosper!" I guess.

Dude. Only you could write about this and somehow make it seem humorous. Praying you have the once an only 'Pop up' cancer ever. I kept thinking that they would find the hidden pencil inside you that drew the cancer.

Lots of good news there, including that there is a great deal you can with diet to reduce the risk of future recurrence, and it’s all delicious. Recommend learning about grassfed meats and anti-inflammatory paleo diets. Whole30 is a great place to start. I’m personally not a fan of keto but it’s also worth reading. Metformin might also be a good choice, cheap and safe, works a couple ways to reduce cancer risk, do some reading and ask your doctor. Cancer cells love sugar so starve them of sugar. Reduce insulin resistance and you’re halfway there. :-)

That all sounds less than fun, though the ending is positive! My doctor told me once that you never want to be the patient where the doctor looks at the test results and goes "Huh." (I was that patient.) Praying that all the remaining tests come back clean and you heal quickly from your robot induced injuries!

I'm glad you're still with us and will be for the foreseeable future. Cancer sucks. I had a gastro-intestinal stromal tumor removed almost two years ago (a big one, at that), so I am unhappily aware of what colon resectioning is like.

I’ve helped 5 of my friends heal with fenbendazole and ivermectin plus supplements and a sixth friend is 80% healed. I’ve had cancers twice and have been through the ringer myself, and your story is atypical of Drs “being surprised”. I hold 95% of them in contempt. I wish you luck Sir. If you’d like to know more feel free to email me, or start your own research. A LOT of “repurposed” drugs that are easily available aren’t even talked about in the oncology world and you can guess why.

All the imitation Gatorade you can drink isn’t much of a benefit. I hope you’re persevering and for a welcome prognosis.
