It’s been quite a year for me. After leaving The Babylon Bee almost exactly one year ago, I decided to start a new paid tier in my Substack and write regularly for this. This was going to be my main writing outlet (along with my novels) while continuing to be a full-time programmer, but then in March, I got hired by the Daily Wire to write their new children’s shows— not something in a million years I would have predicted. But I still kept up for what’s now been one whole year of at least two posts a week for my Substack and released two more novels — while also having to be creative and write as my day job.
So next year is going to be interesting because that’s when the shows I’ve been working all year on will finally premiere. And I honestly have no idea what’s next. So it’s exciting/scary.
I’m also going to do my best to get the fourth and final Superego out. And I hope to find some new fun things to do with this Substack. I do have a lot more of Origin Story which I’m releasing in parts, and I hope to write some new stories as well. And I always love finding a new way to use a medium to tell a joke.
By the way, you have just a couple more days to get a paid subscription for 50% off.
Paid or not, I hope you’ll stay with me this next year, and hopefully, after the shows premiere, I can tell you a bit more about all that.
Thanks again for reading my Substack. And I hope you all have an exciting and interesting new year as well.
That's crazy!! I envy you though. Writing is something I've always wanted to do but I have a really hard time MAKING time to do it. Kudos to you, and I can't wait to see the kids shows in 2023! (I have my grandkiddos over for watch parties :)
2023 needs to be the year Winchester Gets a Monocle. Stop fooling around and make it happen, Frank.
