I'm afraid I must take issue with number 2, my good man. Great Britain is 3 distinct nations - England, Scotland & Wales. Collectively, these same 3 nations, along with Northern Ireland, are the United Kingdom. The rivalry between nations runs deep.
It's always fun to read what non-Brits think/know about our little old islands. So close, yet so far away. But in all fairness, most Brits have no clue about America or anything else outside of their sphere. Hence Brexit ahah.
Britain also has more accents per square mile than anywhere else in the world, I've been told. People born three blocks away from each other have difficulty understanding the other. No wonder they need a king.
