"Murder Rate Finally Plateaus In Chicago As Even Murderers Too Scared To Go Out At Night" is a classic, remember when I first saw that one, shared it with several coworkers
The article about "Christians face choice between party that is hypocritical mockery of their faith and one that is openly hostile to it" is how I respond whenever people ask me my opinion on politics these days.
Well I sincerely mean it in the most pandering way. :) Seriously though I think I saw a recommendation of his books from you somewhere, and I can totally see the resemblance in the sensibility of what’s funny. I sort of knew of him as this SNL/Simpsons legend via Conan or something I think, but did not realized he had written all those books.
Yeah, he's one of my humor heroes, but people know so little about him. The New Yorker actually put out an interview with him a year or so ago, and I think it was the first ever.
Haha! I remember these - must have caught them on the re-post as I didn’t discover the Bee until 2019. Once I became copy editor if I was bored I would go back through the old articles and fix typos, so maybe read some then as well. The sack full of badgers one might be my favorite of this batch! All classic Bee! When comments were added, often Kyle would write FLEMMMING! on your articles so I got to know your style. The first time he wrote HOUSWIIIFE! on one of mine, I felt I had arrived! Thanks for sharing these - so good!

I'm still proud of that one.
I forgot about the Elizabeth Warren one - I am dying laughing.
These are like watching Swartzwelder-era Simpsons. Ah, the good ol’ days.
You know exactly who to compare me to to flatter me.

I liked to think I had a specific style that merited a good FLEMMMING!
Oh, and I know some of these made it into the Sacred Texts book too.
I think you did. I thought I could tell which ones were yours.
Oh yeah. I'll need to mention that at some point. I wrote all the chapter headings for that -- it was something I really enjoyed.
